Yes, I'd recommend this product.
I have been using this tracker for about 8 months now. It does a fantastic job of locating what I need. I have one on my motorcycle, my keys, and the keys of my family. The SmartTag can share the exact address or coordinates of your item's location, while the AirTag only shares its current location or last known location

I despise my Smart Tag.
I got it for my dog
It never works:
.....it always says....not near you
.....battery level shows up.on the app. I've seen it in the past.....could not bring it up today
.....the tag ( came off the dog's collar) was lost in the dog park. COULD NOT FIND IT! Called Samsung for help...no help given. Somebody found it and returned it to me.
......I.ordered a Tractive GPS device and can't wait to do 2 things - 1. Put the Tractive on my dog. and 2.stomp my Smart Tag with my shoe and then throw it in the garbage

Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag 2 last transmitted its signal. Offer a true stand alone tag that doesn't allow or require Samsung device and account login 24-7.
You people raving about the "great price" need to keep your thoughts to yourself, never brag about prices from any item, didn't your parents teach you anything?
We don't need a gadget that tracks our every move via the tag and OUR PHONES we keep on us at all times. Samsung needs to get away from it's proprietary way off thinking by creating other devices that forever the user into buying more Samsung devices or they don't function!
Also note, Samsung refrigerators suck just the same, complete junk.
Beware Verizon, I'll immediately opt out and block the very first email I receive from Verizon "terms and conditions" who's service has become less than mediocre (at Best) over the past 5 years.

Love the SmartTag2 design and functionality. The UWB features are a massive upgrade. The order process was simple and I couldn't believe the price! I had been lookong at the previous versions of the tag, but these are far superior on performance and expense!
